Thai Pepper. SNMP is turned off on both already. I did think of that, still didn't do anything. I will test the IP conflict idea, though. Unfortunately, no, we don't. The "Again" leads me to believe that the problem may not be resolved. I also read the link about the "Print driver installation on bit versus bit servers" and I install exactly the same but I still have the error while connecting from Windows 7 x How can I update the current printers on Windows 32bit server with the 64bit print drivers, so users can install printers from Windows 7 32bit or 64bit? It's a driver issue. The recommendation to delete the registry key came from HP.

I had the same issue when attempting to install the driver from the self extracting download. OS not compatible Download and extract the driver from HP. Use a third party zip tool, like 7zip to extract to folder.

Click File and select Printer Server. Install the driver from here. Just use the Autorun. View solution in original post. Their are no drivers for windows Server. We are running Terminal Services so we need to install the drivers onto the server as well as the local desktop but we can't.

HP sucks for this. You really have to check to make sure the right drivers are there or you get stuck with an incompatible printer.

The all-in-ones have winserver drivers but the printer is crap, I bought two and both have broken already. I used to use s but they kept getting the "error 79" bug and became useless. These printers are not even small-business ready. Thanks for the reply. Not exactly the answer I was hoping for. I have had other printers work with the XP driver. I can't say that I ever found an HP printer with server driver.

We are also running Terminal Services. Most of the workers are logging in from home and want to print to their personal printers. They already have the drivers on the local machine so it would just be getting it on the server.

I thought saying Map Printers would take care of it but I learned otherwise. The installation CD will not work on a Windows Server installation.

However, Server will recognize the x32 driver for the HP printer if you install the printer from the Control Panel. The printer driver you want to use is in the root folder of the installation CD open the CD in "Explore" mode to browse the directory. When your printer installation wizard prompts you for the driver name, click on the "Have Disk" button and then browse to the driver on the Installation CD - then select the correct driver for the printer function of the device. I imagine you can follow these same steps to setup your fax utility - though I didn't do that on my machine.

Once update is finished. Click on HP from left menu, and then select the Deskjet c from the right menu, and then click next. Once you have the c printer added make sure it is the default printer, and then try printing to your Officejet printer using this driver.
