A lot of people use to compare Troop to New Edition but which group did you like better in regards to music, choreography and harmonies. This is a hard pick comin from a fan of both groups lol. I gotta roll with New Edition bein that we watched them litterally go from "Boys To Men" so that makes it a bit more personal. Speakin for myself. I like both group. But I vote for New Edition. Troop was hot for like 2 albums in 88 and Everything after that is not memorable. And please don't bring up that Deepa album from Love them both! New Edition had more good songs because they were together longer, but I don't think they had a song as great as "Spread My Wings. AlexdeParis said: Love them both! And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world.

That's probably my favorite New Edition song Telephone Man", lol. I enjoy both and think compliment each other. I think troop was much more involved with the writing and producing on most of the output so I give them props in the talent department.
NE has a better career with many hits and a rabid fanbase. Atlantic records could have done a better job with troop since they seemed to more talented. I don't think anyone could name any of the members of Troop except Steve , but everyone knew all the members of NE by the third album. I love New Edition but let's not forget that Boyz II Men gave them a run for their money especially when their 2nd album came out. The dramatic video features the group in a rehearsal studio preparing to go on tour under the watchful eye of manager Brooke Payne.
The song was a huge hit, soaring to No. It would peak at No. While the song barely cracked the Billboard Hot at No. The fifth and final single from Heartbreak was something of a victory lap, with a star-studded video featuring New Edition hanging out with some of their famous friends.
Shots of the guys cruising around town on mopeds are interspersed with images from a big house party, which we discover is a surprise for New Edition. Movie director Robert Townsend has a cameo as a limo driver, with appearances from other notables including Heavy D and the Boys and Shanice Wilson. Mostly notably, it marked the return of original member Bobby Brown, making the group a sextet for the first time in its history. The song was another hit for New Edition, peaking at No.
New Edition backed it on down on the second single from the hit album, Home Again , with this smooth ballad. The video was shot at the plush Villa Vizcaya in Miami, with the band members declaring their undying love for the women in their lives throughout the clip. New Edition closed out the singles campaign from Home Again with this mid-tempo ballad featuring Ricky Bell on lead vocals.
The video is a showcase for Bell, following him as he longs after love while watching couples on romantic dates around the city.
